An unexpected pregnancy can provoke many emotions, leaving you wondering what to do next. It’s important to know that you have more than one path forward, and abortion is not your only option. Parenting and adoption are possibilities to explore as well.

Black Hills Pregnancy Center offers no-cost, confidential services designed to inform and support you. With the right resources and accurate information, you can confidently take the next step.

Exploring Parenting

Parenting may seem like a huge undertaking, especially without experience. However, with the proper support, it can be incredibly rewarding.

At Black Hills Pregnancy Center, you’ll have access to no-cost parenting education. You’ll also find long-term support and encouragement to help you build confidence as a parent.

If you’re considering parenting, think about questions such as the following:

  • Do I have a support system I can rely on?
  • What would I need to feel more prepared?
  • Would the baby’s father be involved?
  • How would this decision impact my future goals?

Circumstances can change. Many people find that parenting becomes a real and empowering option with time, support, and community.

Considering an Adoption Plan

Choosing adoption is a decision that, while emotionally challenging, is rooted in love. While not an easy choice, creating an adoption plan and placing your child with a family that shares your hopes and values offers peace of mind.

Adoption services cost the expectant mother or birth mother nothing. Your medical and legal expenses are covered; in most cases, you can receive assistance for other pregnancy-related services.

Black Hills Pregnancy Center does not facilitate adoptions, but we’ll provide referrals to trusted agencies and walk you through the process. Additionally, it’s essential to know that you can choose from different plans, including:

  • Open adoption: You select the adoptive couple who will raise your child. You remain in contact with your child and the adoptive family through ongoing communication, including letters, phone calls, and visits.
  • Semi-open adoption: You select the adoptive couple, but contact is conducted through a third party, and limited information, like first names, may be exchanged
  • Closed adoption: No identifying information is shared, and no contact occurs

We offer a compassionate space to ask questions and get connected to professionals who will support you throughout the process.

Making an Educated Decision

Each person’s situation is unique, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. That’s why Black Hills Pregnancy Center is committed to helping you weigh all your options without pressure. You’ll receive accurate information to help you make a confident decision.

When you feel informed, you’re more likely to make the best decision for you and your future. Schedule a no-cost, confidential appointment to learn more about your options and what support is available to you.
